The Jerusalem cross is a cross consisting of a large cross surrounded by four smaller Greek crosses--one in each quadrant. This design was in the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Jerusalem dating back to the 13th century. The design is symbolic of the Five Wounds of Christ.
